Mrs Jennifer M

I am an experienced French and Spanish teacher, holding a PGCE from Newcastle University dating from 2000. I have held Head of Languages posts in several UK secondary schools in London, Leeds and the North East. I am currently Head of MFL at a secondary school in County Durham. I have taught French and Spanish to all age groups from primary to university level in the UK, as well as in France, Canada and Mexico. I hold a BA in French and Italian from Birmingham University and a DEUG, MA and MPhil in French from Grenoble and Lyon Universities in France. I have been a moderator for the AQA exam board for A2 French and an examiner for AQA GCSE French speaking. This year I will be an examiner for the AQA and Pearson GCSE French and Spanish writing examinations. Since March 2020 I have conducted many French and Spanish lessons online through TEAMS. Teaching languages is my passion and I thoroughly enjoy imparting my knowledge to foreign language learners!!

Mrs Jenna E

Qualified and experienced Secondary-level teacher of French and Spanish specialising in preparation for GCSE, but also delivering tuition at KS3. Experience of providing tuition for AQA, Edexcel and iGCSE. I have been providing high-quality tuition to a range of students, both in the UK and abroad for the past three years. My aim is to build my students' confidence in all 4 skill areas and I will always tailor lessons according to the individual needs of my students. Online teaching can be done via Zoom using a shared whiteboard with which the student can interact. I can also provide homework and feedback on written work on request. I like to have a good line of communication with parents and students and provide updates on student progress when needed. I don't see the online platform as a barrier to building rapport and have built up good relationships with the range of students I teach. I'm currently tutoring 6 GCSE students across a range of exam boards.
