Ian S

Certificate in Post Compulsory and Further Education, University of Warwick. BSc (Hons) Maths, University of East Anglia.

Member since 2015 Mr Ian S

I am a very experienced, qualified Maths Tutor. who works successfully with students from Key Stage 3 through to 5 across all the major exam boards. Students of all levels often misinterpret long or wordy questions and get lower grades throughout school than they deserve as a result. I therefore work on showing how to read, interpret and approach such questions and to ensure that they get maximum points from them. For those at a higher level already, I also show where methods come from and how things cionnect, which lowers necessary memory work. I am very patient. build confidence and work well with those with maths anxiety, autism, dyslexia and other .learning differences. I also endeavour make sessions fun, so as to keep students relaxed. Currently, I am teaching online only, using Zoom and an electronic teaching platform called Bitpaper.
