I am a fully qualified and experienced (16 years) Primary teacher, now a part-time supply teacher. I teach all core subjects within the Primary National Curriculum, from Curriculum For Excellence (CfE) Early Level to Second Level (Primary 1 to 7), across all ages and abilities. Previously, I have taught in a number of Prep Schools in London, rural England and Edinburgh. I have taught across the primary age range, from Reception/Primary 1 all the way up to Year 8/S1 with a particular specialism in the teaching of English. I am currently on maternity leave and will not be returning to my role in September as I spend time raising my daughter. Qualified and experienced Primary Teacher, currently teaching in Glasgow. Trained in Scotland- Strathclyde University. I teach across the Primary Curriculum, including EYFS, Key Stages 1 and 2. In Scotland, this is primary 1-7. I have experience of enhancing children's reading and writing skills as well as their numeracy. I have a BA in Childhood Studies which has played a big role in understanding child development and the importance of differing teaching strategies to meet the needs of all of my learners. I have recently gained a further level 2 Qualification focussing on supporting mental health in children and young people. I have also completed my SCEL teacher leadership course this year which has allowed me to further enhance my practice, focusing on an enquiry based project. This has resulted in me raising my classroom’s reading attainment level, as this was my focus.
