I have a PhD in Education from Birmingham University. I am a Qualified Teacher after studying for a PGCE in science at Oxford University. I am registered with the DBS update service for your reassurance. I am currently undertaking an on-line course in differentiation for learning and teach two days a week at an independent school, alongside my tutoring roles.

I have been teaching Biology, Physics and Chemistry, from Key Stage 3 through to GCSE for over ten years. I provide support for GCSE resits as well as preparation for Scholarship, Common Entrance and Independent School Entrance Exams. I specialise in GCSE Tutoring for all three sciences across all exam boards. I am also a Common Entrance Examiner, which means I write exam questions and their mark schemes - this provides a useful insight into what examiners are looking for. I am currently teaching GCSE Physics and science at a girls' school in Bruton, Somerset.

As a class teacher, a tutor and a Deputy Headteacher, I have a proven track record for getting results: the pupils I have taught and tutored have all performed far beyond expectations in their end of Key Stage Two examinations, GCSEs and 11+ exams. I have tutored three pupils to perform so exceptionally well in their entrance exams as to be awarded full scholarships to private education. I also have a particular passion for teaching science and have excelled in the role of science coordinator.
