I have taught in three different outstanding schools all the way from KS3 to A-level Biology. I have experience in working with students of different needs and abilities and I am able to cater towards those needs as well. I have taught in different syllabuses that include AQA and Edexcel. My subject knowledge in Science is now excellent as I have developed it over the years. I have working as a one-to-one and a small group tutor over the last 5 years. I am good at identifying the needs of individual students and working with them to improve their results and understanding of key Science topics. I am currently the Head of Science at a state comprehensive school. I am responsible for the delivery of all science education for KS3, KS4 and KS5. I also have specific responsibility as the leader of the Chemistry Department. My passion is for teaching chemistry and I am fortunate enough to teach the subject at Combined Science, GCSE and 'A' Level. I develop most of my own teaching resources and I am most interested in finding new and ever more effective ways of teaching a subject that I love but understand that many students find extremely challenging. Prior to teaching, I was a senior executive in the publishing industry, specialising in video games, internet, music and film. I also have senior experience in the UK book publishing industry.
