Previously Head of Department for many years, recently stepped down to allow time to work on writing A level Physics papers as a Principal Examiner for a major exam board. Teaches Physics from Key Stage 3 to GCSE, IGCSE and A level.

Qualified and experienced Science and Maths teacher with a specialism in Physics, recently teaching at The Whitby High School, now a full time tutor. Teaches Science, Physics, Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics up to GCSE and Physics up to A-Level across all the major exam boards. Has taught in several challenging schools with a range of pupils including those with SEN and behavioural difficulties. Has a wide range of experience with pupils struggling with engagement and motivation, and aims to make learning accessible and relevant. Also teaches pupils who are striving to move up a grade and really excel as they move on to the next stage in their education, whether that is GCSES, A-Levels or University/College. Use lots of real world examples to apply the principles being taught, which makes the material more accessible and easier to remember at exam time.

Teacher of Science for Key Stage 3 Physics/Chemistry and Biology. Teacher of Physics for Key Stage 4 Physics AQA syllabus Separate, Trilogy and Synergy Science. Teacher of Physics for Key Stage 5 Physics AQA year 12. Examiner for AQA exam board for GCSE Higher Tier. Currently working as a Teacher of Science specialising in Physics for 10 years and coordinating STEM club activities for after school and also revision sessions for year 11 during lunch time and after school, as well as teaching years 7 to 13 and a staff member of the board of trustee's. Having held a Teaching and Learning Responsibility for Careers and Option. I coordinated and developed a curriculum for year 7 to 11 in careers, which is delivered during personal development lesson and developed and coordinated year 9 Options liaising with Heads of Department, Heads of House and working along side the Assistant Head in order to meet our key performance indicators for both the students and the school.
