Mr Sebastian Z

I have always maintained an interest in teaching from a young age and got the opportunity to train and qualify as a Science teacher at Oasis Academy South Bank. In my second and third year of teaching I took on an additional curriculum role, creating a KS3 Science curriculum for use across the Oasis network of schools. These past six months have been an incredible test to teachers across the world. I am fortunate to have worked in a school for the past three years that took the decision to continue to teach their students via live online lessons. As a highly qualified Chemistry teacher, this was a new experience and I got to develop new skills using online applications to teach my students. With the success that I had in live online teaching of both Chemistry and GCSE Science, I feel online tutoring offers the perfect platform for pupils to achieve their grade goals in secondary school all while staying safe during this pandemic.

Mrs Nicole N

A Science lover with 5 years of teaching experience and currently working as a Science Lead Practitioner. Working in 4 different schools has allowed me to gain first-hand information about how a good or outstanding school should operate and how to implement similar strategies to help classroom practice across the department. I have gained a range of teaching experiences in different school settings to widen my teaching strategies and learn first-hand how to contribute to the teaching and learning in the Science department I work in. I am currently working in a school with a wide range of abilities of students, including SEND and EAL, being involved not only with delivering lessons but also in planning schemes of work across Key Stages, creating homework packs and launching the Science Homework Club as a form of KS3 intervention to provide additional help to struggling students.
