Just a few of our SATs teachers in West Sussex

Miss Stacey H

Hi, I'm Stacey and have been teaching and tutoring for over 5 years. I am a friendly fully-qualified teacher who enjoys working one to one with children to help them reach their potential. Whether your child needs to develop their confidence, needs some extra support due to a special education need (diagnosed or otherwise) or prepare for SATS/11+ - I can create a program of study to suit their needs and help them achieve their goals. I have worked in outstanding schools across Years 3-6, both as a class teacher and an intervention teacher. This means I have experience teaching children working below age-related expectations and in need of booster sessions to build their confidence and recap previous learning. You may feel your child has some gaps in their learning due to the disruption in education over the past two years and this is the time to invest in tuition. I can offer both short-term programs or regular weekly tuition to boost their confidence or skills in reading, writing or maths.

SUBJECTS TAUGHT:
Primary, SEN, SATs, School Entrance Exams, 11+
Qualifications:
Is maths the main worry? Many children experience ‘maths anxiety’ and find it is a subject they just don’t get. I am a passionate maths specialist who has tutored children from age 6 up to 14 - both children who struggle or excel in the subject. I have a MaST postgraduate qualification (2021) which I achieved following my Education BA (2017) - this involved researching the impact of mindset in maths learning. I also have experience of working with children who struggle in the mainstream school environment or need a teacher to support them with ADHD, anxiety or other difficulties. If your child is bilingual or new to English, I am a Cambridge English (CELTA, 2015) qualified language teacher and have worked in an International School and tutored children learning English or who speak English as a second language. I’ll be in touch to arrange a suitable time to discuss your needs further or the first tutoring session - this gives you a chance to decide whether we are a good fit.
