Member since 2015 Miss Nicola M

I am a qualified and experienced practising English teacher, with extensive experience teaching English at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 in both independent and state schools. I am also currently teaching on the teacher training course sharing Ofsted Outstanding Teaching Practice. I have an excellent proven record of success at GCSE with 100% pass rate for the past two years at Level 4 above. I recently taught a re-sit GCSE group that all passed with at least a grade 4; some of the students had previously only achieved a Level 2. A number of my students have also achieved the very top Grade 9 at GCSE and I offer both support and extensive stretch and challenge in my lessons. I am also a current team leader for GCSE and A Level English exam marking. Additionally, I have worked as a specialist SEND tutor and I have high expectations of all my students, and, in a recent lesson observation, one of the comments made was “student attainment far exceeds what their written data suggests they should” (October 2020).
