I was a SENCO at one school for several years, and so have practical experience supporting students with different learning needs. Although most of my teaching experience has been with AQA, I have also taught GCSE and from the Edexcel specification. I am now self employed having retired from teaching. I have been Head of Psychology in several schools and taught all sciences at GCSE and Biology and Psychology to A level. I am a senior examiner for EDEXCEL A level Biology at present but have also been a senior moderator for CIE and an examiner for AQA. I am an author of several educational books, including a revision book for A level Biology. I have been a team leader for GCSE sciences for many years both for foundation and higher papers.

Ms Louise R

I am an experienced A level Psychology tutor, with over 25 years in the classroom and 5 years of one to one coaching. I offer personalised sessions for OCR, AQA and Edexcel specifications at A level , as well as Scottish Highers and Cambridge International. I can support students with additional needs, including dyslexia and ADHD, as well as young people facing challenges related to their mental health. As well as teaching, I was also the Director of Sixth at a large comprehensive school for 12 years so am able to integrate study skills to enhance progress, paying equal attention to both the knowledge needed and the skills to apply it . I believe that students do better if they have a clear goal in mind, whether that be a particular grade, university course or career and have the experience and knowledge to support young people to achieve their goals. I have Diplomas in Life Coaching as well as CBT and integrate the skills I have gained to improve confidence and motivate change.

Mr Matthew C

I am an experienced, highly qualified History teacher based in a Manchester school. As is the case for many, I also have experience of teaching French, Geography and Psychology. I have an undergraduate degree in History and a masters degree in Psychology alongside my PGCE . I also have extensive experience of SEN. I currently work on an alternative pathways course that caters for children who are not accessing mainstream education. Therefore, parents seeking support for children with autism, dyslexia or behavioural difficulties, feel free to contact me for support. I am able to offer History + Psychology up to GCSE and I can also offer French to A-level. I am also experienced in secondary transition and would be happy to help year sixes as they make the transition to secondary, for a happier start in September. My passion is to instil a love for learning in others. I teach for a love of a subject but can also appreciate the need to gain excellent exam results, in an ever more competitive world.

My name is Oonagh and I am located in Northern Ireland. I am currently Head of Psychology at a Grammar School here. I teach AS/A Psychology, AS Health and Social Care, KS3 English and French. I also have experience teaching KS5 Sociology, KS4 English, History and RS, and KS3 Geography and History. I am also the Literacy Coordinator in my current school. I have examined for AQA for the past few years. In my spare time, I am in a Brass Band which is my main hobby. I also love Disney and Marvel, have three cats and live in Belfast with my husband.
