Some of our Physics teachers

Craig F

Diploma in Teaching, Auckland Secondary Teachers Training College (1986). BSc Biochemistry, Massey University (1985).

Member since 2021 Mr Craig F

My approach to teaching aims to sustain the engagement of all pupils in all of my classes, and I have developed a teaching style that employs a variety of teaching methodologies that would suit one on one tutoring. My appreciation of the need to differentiate within the classroom stems from working with mixed ability sets here in New Zealand, Portugal and China, and from several years of experience teaching Science and Physics to students for whom English is their second language. I consider myself highly adaptable to changing circumstances and I enjoy working within a team in setting and achieving goals. In my current position, I teach both IGCSE and A level Physics. Before this, I taught 8 years of IGCSE Physics and IB Environmental Science, which followed 5 years teaching IB Physics and Middle School Physics, Chemistry and Biology. I trained in and taught Biology and Chemistry under the New Zealand curriculum using NCEA guidelines (which mirrors GCSE / A level).
