Qualified Latin Teacher with experience in both the State and Independent sectors, teaching Latin from Key Stage 2 to A-Level, and also through Distance Learning Institutions. Has also worked as an examiner for GCSE Latin for several exam boards, over the whole of my career, and has tutored pupils privately. One of the most satisfying parts of her career has been teaching extra-curricular GCSE Latin, in two years, to pupils who otherwise would not have the opportunity to study the subject.

I am an experienced education professional currently working as a project manager in the Strategy Dept of a large multi-academy trust. My responsibilities include: improving the quality of remote lessons; increasing access to Oxbridge; and converting the trust into a carbon neutral organisation by 2030. I taught Maths (Foundation and Higher) and Latin to GCSE level in an East London Academy for 3 years. In addition I have 7 years experience of private tuition for entrance exams, 11+, Common Entrance, GCSE, and A-Level.

Qualified teacher of in English Language and a Classics Tutor, in Colleges and in Primary and Secondary schools, including five years at a Grammar School. I am currently a Tutor in Classics at the City Lit (Holborn, London) and for the British Museum, where I have worked since 2003. I have tutored pupils of all ages, either Home Educated (including my own two sons) or attending Maintained or Independent Schools (such as Eton College), or as Adults studying for leisure. The subjects I tutor in are: Latin, Classical Greek, and Classical Civilisation. My pupils consistently achieve very well at Common Entrance, or gain top Grades at GCSE and/or A level, moving on to Russell Group (many to Oxbridge) University places. One pupil with Dyslexia moved, after one year’s tuition with me, from predicted GCSE Grade Cs to achieved Grade As in Latin and in Greek.
