I am a fully qualified secondary school teacher, a GCSE examiner and university tutor with twenty years’ experience in private tuition and teaching in schools, universities and colleges. Born and raised in Italy, I graduated in English and French Languages and Literature, before moving to the UK, where I obtained Qualified Teacher Status 15 years ago. I am currently teaching French and Italian part-time at the University of Warwick, Coventry University and a college for adult education. I am also providing personalised tutoring to adult and GCSE learners. I teach students how to communicate in the foreign language and help them to become independent learners and stay motivated in their studies. I adopt a very friendly student-centred approach, which focuses on students' needs, enhances their learning and encourages them to become more active. By using a vast array of resources and adapting the material to the learners ' purposes, I make lessons varied, effective and engaging.

As a qualified and experienced French teacher and native speaker, I am currently teaching from Year 3 to Year 13 in a private school (Edexcel GCSE, IGCSE and A Level, including both for AQA and Edxecel). As I teach half my classes online, I am extremely familiar with numerous platforms and interactive tools and I am able to make remote learning fun and effective, even with very young learners. I communicate concepts in Modern Languages in an articulate, positive and sensitive way to pupils across the age and ability ranges. Having taught abroad as well as foreign students in the UK, I am particularly skilled in teaching 2nd and 3rd language students with widely varying previous experience of the language, I have been an Examiner for IGCSE French for 8 years.
