Member since 2021 Mrs Katrina K

I have been a primary teacher since 2009 and I offer one to one private tuition covering all subjects in the primary curriculum. My time in teaching so far has taught me to harness each child's enthusiasm in order to create and deliver dynamic lessons, so that each child can achieve their true potential. I qualified with a PGCE in Primary Education specializing in lower primary. I have always had a passion for early years education and since qualifying, I have taught in EYFS and KS1 therefore I have a wealth of experience in this area. The first few years of a child's education is so important as this period forms the basis of future learning and development.

I am a qualified teacher and have taught in a variety of primary schools over the past 10 years. I am Early years trained, specialising in the teaching of 3-7 year olds having taught from Nursery age up to year 2. I am also Mum to two little girls, age 7 and 5 so professionally and personally I have the experience, patience and natural ability to engage and communicate with young children. My teaching style is relaxed, kind, caring and fun; building trust and confidence in every child to believe in their own abilities. I believe learning should be fun; I use lots games and hands-on activities to keep children motivated and to encourage a life long love of learning. I teach Primary English, Phonics, Maths and Science (and other primary subjects) across the Early years and KS1 primary phase. Also here to help with ‘catch up’ tutoring For children following school closures.
