Mrs Catherine W

I am a UK qualified teacher with 15 years of classroom experience across the whole Primary sector, from EYFS to Key Stage 2. I am also qualified to teach KS3 English. I worked for 10 years in both the state and independent sector in London, and for 5 years internationally before a relocation back to North Yorkshire. For the last 9 months I have been tutoring online, full time, both one to one and with small groups for a private British school in Poland and a state school in the UK. This has enabled me to develop a high quality and creative online tutoring experience and I am able to teach all aspects of the curriculum this way. My work in the independent sector gave me strong experience preparing children in both maths and English for specific private school entrance exams and 11+ exams. My international school experience also means I am able to support and prepare children for not only an academic move overseas, but also the social and emotional aspects that such a move might entail, if this is required.

Miss Lauren F

I am a friendly, caring, and approachable primary school teacher and Key Stage leader with great patience and a passion for all children making progress. I believe that every single child can make the progress they need, regardless of their current ability, with the correct support using a fun, hands-on, child-led approach. I have been teaching for several years across key stage 1 and key stage 2 so my knowledge is up to date and extremely relevant to learning today. I am a key stage 1 leader and have mentored several trainee teachers. I have been selected to be a key stage 1 moderator ensuring other teachers judgements are accurate when assessing pupils and have experience in year 2 SATs, boosters, year 1 phonics screening and SEN experience. I have extensive knowledge of the full national curriculum and know-how to deliver it in a fun and exciting way. I am very knowledgeable about the next steps children need to take to make accelerated progress in a way they will enjoy.
