Teacher of Physics for Key Stage 5 Physics AQA year 12. Examiner for AQA exam board for GCSE Higher Tier. Currently working as a Teacher of Science specialising in Physics for 10 years and coordinating STEM club activities for after school and also revision sessions for year 11 during lunch time and after school, as well as teaching years 7 to 13 and a staff member of the board of trustee's. Currently a Science teacher at Liverpool Life Sciences UTC. I have a proven track record at GCSE, achieving positive progress 8 data. I have seven years successful experience of teaching GCSE from several boards to pupils of all abilities including AQA Synergy (Trilogy content) and Edexcel and OCR Triple Science. I spent 3 years as Lead Teacher for Science for the Tutorial Program at Akeley Wood School, specialising in pupils with SEN so have lots of experience with pupils with SEN. I presently lead scientific literacy for Liverpool Life Sciences and specialise in the correct use of keywords and English in order to give the answers the examiner wants. I am also experienced in stretching high ability students aiming for the very best grades. My classroom is a safe space where students are happy to express themselves and to question until they understand.

Hi, I'm Michael, and I have been successfully tutoring students across a range of ages/abilities for over 15 years. I greatly enjoy the opportunity to share the academic journey with all of my students via the bespoke sessions I provide. I am very well placed to increase both the enjoyment and exam performance of my students. I achieved the highest maths A-level score nationally in 2002. I have a First Class Physics degree, a Physics PhD, and being a qualified teacher (PGCE/QTS) with years of classroom experience (both in the UK and abroad) I have many techniques for optimising student performance at my disposal.
