Currently teaching Chemistry at an Ofsted Outstanding Grammar School in Essex. I have four current Y12 and Y13 Chemistry classes and I really enjoy teaching my subject! I have a first class Chemistry degree form the University of York, 5 years' experience a medicinal chemist in the pharmaceutical industry, and in 2015 was appointed as Royal Society of Chemistry Teaching Scholar. At A-Level, 43% of my classroom students attain A* or A, and 93% achieve A*-C. At GCSE, 31% attain a level 9 and 82% attain levels 7-9. In my spare time I like to go fishing!

I am currently a full-time science teacher in an all-through school in North London. I specialise in teaching KS3 and KS4 sciences. I am also equipped to teach specialisations at A-level. I have experience of teaching English as a second language (ESL) while teaching to primary and secondary pupils in Asia for one year. I taught science in an ESL setting also within private schools. I have had a passion for teaching that begun while teaching pupils part-time during my Master and Doctorate degree programs, during which I achieved several publications (Hayes et al, 2013; Hayes et al, 2014; Hayes et al, 2015).
