I decided to became a science teacher when I was 14 years old and that is what I have been doing since I concluded my teaching degree at the University of Lisbon in 2003. I Moved to London in 2013 and since then, I have been teaching biology to 6th form students and Science to secondary school students. I started work in UCL Academy in 2015 and in 2018 I become the Head of Biology of the UCL Academy in Camden. At Key Stage 4 I have successfully developed and delivered Double and Triple Science. Nearly 80% of my current timetable is A Level teaching, which is testament to my current school trusting me to deliver good quality teaching and results. My most recent ALPS score for my two A level classes was 2 with 74% of students on track to achieve A*-B grades. During my time as head of biology I have been responsible for creating and developing all the resources for biology from KS3 to KS5, as well as all of the biology assessments at KS4 and KS5.
