Mrs Holly T

Qualified and experienced primary school teacher now running my own messy play/playgroup business. My last teaching job (left August 2021) lasted for 6 years teaching across the primary and secondary curriculum to children/young people with SEN, SEMH, behavioural and all learners with ECHP in place. My extensive experience here allows me to attune well to a whole range of learning needs I may be faced with and I enjoyed the challenge of every day being different to the previous. The idea of tutoring is really exciting because I am able to adapt my teaching style, lesson content and use of language to really engage my young person without the external noise of other children and the environment which in a mainstream classroom can be a negative experience for learners with additional needs.

SUBJECTS TAUGHT:
Primary, SEN, English, Maths, SATs
Qualifications:
Qualified Teacher Status (2016). Graduate Teacher Programme (2013). BA (Hons) Sports Development (2012).

Mrs Annie B

Currently working as a tutor, I have 30 years experience as a teacher in primary schools. I have taught all primary subjects during this time but my most recent role as Head of Maths at an independent prep school in Surrey meant I mainly focused on teaching Maths to years 5 & 6. I have experience with dyscalculia and additional learning needs. I also have experience of entrance exams for secondary schools having worked in both the state and independent sectors. I lived and worked in Surrey before moving back to West Wales last year. I am a mum to 4 girls (ranging from 16 - 29) who are all very individual and I think this really helps me appreciate each individual child's specific needs. I have recently worked with young adults who have struggled with maths and have to continue sitting exams alongside studying their chosen college subjects.

SUBJECTS TAUGHT:
Primary, SEN, Maths, 11+, School Entrance Exams, SATs
Qualifications:
BEd Primary, South Bank University (1986)
