I am a highly qualified and vastly experienced secondary school English Teacher, who spent most of his career teaching English in an 'Outstanding' secondary school in Spondon, Derby. Now, I am a successful self-employed home tutor, who teaches English Language and English Literature from Key Stage 2 through to GCSE, across all the major examination boards: AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC. I also prepare students in Years 12 and 13 for their GCSE English Language re-sits. Also, I have a wide and extensive range of SEN experience, particularly students with Autism. Also, when I was Assistant Head of Year, I was responsible for mentoring students with a range of social and emotional issues.

I am an experienced and qualified Primary Teacher and have worked in primary education for the majority of my professional life and have a huge wealth of skills and experiences. I am now looking for fresh challenges and opportunities. My strongest skill is developing excellent relationships. I am caring, flexible, honest and committed to ensuring the families. I love helping all children achieve their full potential especially children with special needs. I have worked with a great number of children with special needs, including supply at a specialist SEN school working with a class of 4 autistic children. I teach Early Years, KS1, KS2 and have some experience of Year 7 and 8 as I home schooled my own child for a while. As well as the core subjects, I also love History and Geography.

As an individual, I possess the ability to adapt and achieve targets effectively. I spent the duration of my degree being an employee at several IT facilities where I mastered the use of many software programs which I then taught and provided support for. My ability to easily teach various audiences complex information led me to the decision of transferring this knowledge to the younger generation. I am now a reflective practitioner, that has over four years of experience and want to further my career in teaching.
