Ex-RAF specialist linguist, with operational experience throughout Europe and French-speaking Africa. He was based in Germany for 10 years, training German and Italian paratroopers, and spent another decade in Spain. Following many years of overseas postings and deployments, he finished his career as a French, Italian and German teacher at the Defence School of Languages. In civilian life, he teaches languages and maths part-time at a college. His other employment is tutoring French, German, Italian and Spanish to teenagers and corporate clients, from Key Stage 3 to GCSE and beyond.
