Mrs Cassie K

I am an experienced KS1 and KS2 teacher and have been teaching continuously since gaining my P.G.C.E in 1999. I worked at Bodriggy Academy in Hayle for 18 years. I taught a Year 3 class full-time for the first 8 years then, after having children of my own, I went back part-time (0.4) and for the last 10 years I have taught reception children through to Year 6. I have job-shared in EYFS, taught a mixed Year 1/2 class, as well as a mixed Year 5/6 class. I have also carried out Senior management PPA cover in EYFS, Years 1/2, and Years 5/6. In Sept 2019 I made the transition from permanent employment to supply. This has given me the opportunity to teach in a wide range of schools and learn from the many varied ways teaching is delivered in different settings. I have spent a lot of this time teaching at Marazion school.

Ms Bryony M

Hi, my name is Bryony and I am a qualified teacher of maths. I have taught at a local secondary school for 4 years and am now tutoring full time. My approach to teaching maths is through small steps. This allows students to build up their understanding and regularly feel successful. When students feel successful they become more motivated. When students are motivated they are willing to put more effort into their learning. Thus continues a virtuous circle where students will excel. Some students are searching for support for key exams, from SATS to GCSE to A-Level. Others simply want to boost their understanding and confidence in the subject. Whatever you need, I am here to guide you through a successful maths experience.

Mr Daniel A

I am the head of Economics at a local grammar school and also teach Business Studies at both GCSE and A-Level. I always link learning to current events which helps students to understand some of the more complex topics. This approach also develops the application skills required to succeed in exams. These application skills, coupled with clear exam technique, taught one to one, help students to understand how to structure their responses and improve their results.
