Mr Ian S

I am a very experienced, qualified Maths Tutor. who works successfully with students from Key Stage 3 through to 5 across all the major exam boards. I am very patient. build confidence and work well with those with maths anxiety, autism, dyslexia and other .learning differences. I also endeavour make sessions enjoyable , so as to keep students relaxed. Students of all levels often misinterpret long or wordy questions and get lower grades throughout school than they deserve as a result. I therefore work on showing how to read, interpret and approach such questions and to ensure that they get maximum points from them. Whenever possible, I also show where methods come from and how things connect, which lowers necessary memory work. Currently, I am teaching online only, using Zoom and an electronic teaching platform called Bitpaper.

SEN, Maths
BSc (Hons) Maths, University of East Anglia. Certificate in Post Compulsory and Further Education, University of Warwick.

Mr George C

Hi there! My name is George and I am a teacher of Geography, up to A Level, at Harrow School in London. I have a burning curiosity about the world around me which fuelled me to cycle from London to Tokyo before I decided I wanted to instil a similar inquisitiveness in young people through teaching. Prior to this I studied Geography at Newcastle University before completing a Masters in Sustainable Urban Development at the University of Oxford. I have a very flexible approach to online learning with an appreciation that approaches must be suited to the individual. Lessons can concentrate on exam practice (using a large bank of resources), case study revision, they can be skills-based (e.g. decision-making, data response) or focus on theory and concepts or a combination of all these.

BA (Hons) Geography, Newcastle University (2014) MSc Sustainable Urban Development, Oxford University (2016)
