I am an experienced French and Spanish teacher, holding a PGCE from Newcastle University dating from 2000. I have held Head of Languages posts in several UK secondary schools in London, Leeds and the North East. I am currently Head of MFL at a secondary school in County Durham. I have taught French and Spanish to all age groups from primary to university level in the UK, as well as in France, Canada and Mexico. I hold a BA in French and Italian from Birmingham University and a DEUG, MA and MPhil in French from Grenoble and Lyon Universities in France. I have been a moderator for the AQA exam board for A2 French and an examiner for AQA GCSE French speaking. This year I will be an examiner for the AQA and Pearson GCSE French and Spanish writing examinations. Since March 2020 I have conducted many French and Spanish lessons online through TEAMS. Teaching languages is my passion and I thoroughly enjoy imparting my knowledge to foreign language learners!!

Miss Megan R

I am a qualified teacher with over 5 years of experience in a primary school environment (through teacher training placements and teaching at my current school). I qualified from Sunderland University in 2018 with a first-class honours degree. I currently work at Breckon Hill Primary School in Middlesbrough where I have taught in Y2 for the past 3 years. Within those 3 years I have taught a range of abilities. Previously, I taught a SEN class who were working below national expected standard therefore I have lots of experience adapting lessons and activities for children who need it. I am currently teaching a mainstream Y2 class. At university I specialised in maths and currently I shadow the English lead in my school therefore I have a good understanding in those core subjects. I pride myself in forming great relationships with children and also making learning as enjoyable as possible. I can prepare children for their KS1 SATS, end of year assessments and their phonics screening tests.
