Mr Adam T

Semi-retired chemistry teacher currently teaching A-Level chemistry at a 6th Form College where I was formally Head of Science. I have also taught in secondary schools, both state and independent boarding schools including GCSEs, IGCSEs, and BTEC across most exam boards. I am very familiar with the anxieties many students experience when adapting their learning skills from GCSE to A level. I am a trained Mental Health First Aider and qualified Apple Teacher. I put a lot of emphasis on explaining concepts in a simple and accessible way to students who are finding chemistry difficult so that they gain confidence and can make sense of their learning. I am also experienced in training exam techniques and preparation for able students chasing A/A* grades. I have coached numerous students towards medicine, vet, and Oxbridge university courses. I have a BSc in Biochemistry and completed my PGCE at the Institute of Education, where I also completed a Masters in Teaching.
