Just a few of our teachers in Millom

Mrs Lisa S

I have over 15 years of experience as an English teacher and have privately tutored for 12 of these. I am an examiner for English Language and Literature for two of the major boards at GCSE and A-Level. I am lucky as my First Class Degree covered both Lit and Lang, which often separates me from most English teachers who are solely Literature specialists. I have been Head of Department for English, Drama and Media studies. I completed my NPQML in literacy intervention in 2016 and have been a literacy lead in school supporting weak readers and students with dyslexia. I am quick to forge positive relationships with students, and since my time as a tutor have only tutored a handful of students as I tend to stay with them from KS3 to KS5.
