Miss Charlotte M

I qualified as a primary teacher in 2014 and have since taught in Reception and years 1, 4 and 5. I’ve also held various middle and senior leadership roles, and I currently work as a strategic lead for English across several schools. My main roles include specialist intervention teaching, teacher training, and providing consultancy and support to headteachers. I specialise in teaching reading and spelling, but I am also trained in the mastery approach to mathematics. I’m currently studying for a second MA, and I’ve been learning about linguistics and communication. I’ve worked with a large number of students who speak English as an additional language, and I've worked with students with a number of learning difficulties. I’ve been tutoring for just over a year, and I love supporting students 1:1 to achieve their highest potential.

Mrs Sian S

When working with me, a tutor who is passionate and empathetic and who knows that each individual learns differently, students will develop their love of learning, improve self-esteem and make excellent progress in a short amount of time. I am a qualified English teacher and Special Educational Needs Coordinator with over 10 years of experience in both state and private sector and I have a proven track record of supporting students to be the best that they can be. My lessons are engaging and individually tailored and have an emphasis on a love of learning. What I enjoy about 1:1 teaching is getting to know individuals and adapting lessons to their passions and interests. It also allows me to work at a pace that best suits your child’s learning and establish a meaningful and open dialogue that allows each individual to overcome areas of difficulty or develop areas and strength.
