I am an enthusiastic geographer and former geography teacher and head of department, currently completing a Master's and PhD in Geospatial Systems. I taught geography for 8 years including GCSE and A-Level. Most recently, I taught the Edexcel A specification at GCSE and OCR A Level, which includes an NEA. I have experience teaching pupils with a range of SEN including dyslexia, dyspraxia and anxiety issues. I have taught both physical and human geography at A-Level, with a greater focus on physical over time. I enjoy seeing pupils develop and helping them reach their potential. Although I have not been an external examiner, I led the standardising, marking and moderating of assessments in my department during the assessment period in 2021 so am knowledgeable about exam technique and maximising mark gain.
