I am a fully qualified, experienced Primary teacher and tutor. I have delivered hundreds of hours of on-line tuition and have worked with many KS2 children, including those in year 6. I would be very happy to support Eva in her preparation for this year’s SATS. My initial thoughts would be to focus on practising SATS style questions to increase Eva’s confidence as she grows more familiar with the style of question that may be asked. This approach would also allow me to identify any areas where she would benefit from focused revision, consolidating what she already knows and ensuring any gaps in knowledge or understanding are addressed. However I am happy to discuss an alternative approach if you prefer. I have access to past papers and hundreds of SATS style revision questions to provide targeted practice and revision. I usually use the interactive whiteboard in Zoom alongside videos, presentations and games to ensure lessons are interactive and enjoyable but can use an alternative platform if you wish.

I have worked in post 16 education for 9 years, mainly in teaching young people with special educational needs. I have progressed into middle management but still have a passion for teaching. My specialisms include teaching independent living skills such as personal safety, health, balanced diet, communication and relationships, functional skills English and maths. I grew up with my older sister who has Autism, severe learning disabilities, emotional and behavioural difficulties; and volunteered a lot with her school. My personal experience has shaped my teaching practice and enhanced my delivery, understanding, empathy and knowledge of strategies to support and get the best out of young people.
I am a fully qualified teacher and a friendly, compassionate tutor with enthusiasm for science and mathematics. I enjoy helping students increase their confidence, using a variety of teaching strategies. I have a unique background, having worked in several secondary schools around the West Midlands, delivering KS3 lessons up to GCSE in both mathematics and science. I have also worked closely with local primary schools, to lead booster sessions to years 5 and 6 in mathematics and increase overall engagement in the subject. In addition, I have taught SEN (Special Educational Needs) classes. Currently, I teach in a leading online independent school and have over 7 years tutoring experience. Furthermore, I am a current examiner for the OCR Exam board. Education is my passion and I take every opportunity given to enhance my skillset. I am an outstanding teacher with demonstratable success through regular internal school monitoring, OFSTED feedback, exam results and past parent/student testimonials.
