I am an experienced primary school teacher with Qualified Teacher Status. I am currently in Year 4 but have taught throughout the primary phase. I have worked with students both on a one to one basis, groups and full classes. This has also included online tuition via Zoom alongside more traditional face to face tuition. I can assist any primary school students and coach children for the 11 plus exam. I can also help children who are behind expectations in high school and support them to catch up. I believe that my excellent communication skills and solid academic background enable me to be an effective tutor particularly within the core subjects of English and maths. I work with students at Independent schools as well as those from Grammar and Non-Selective State schools. I am very approachable, focused and passionate about tutoring. Edexcel Examiner - Key Stage 2 Reading.

I have been a primary school teacher for the last 15 years. I have worked with children from Nursery to Y6 which has meant that I've developed a whole range of engagement strategies suitable for all ages. I have tutored many children previously and I use the TPR (Total Physical Response) approach. TPR, is a technique that teaches concepts by using physical movement to react to verbal input and therefore helps children learn, remember and apply key skills. This can work extremely well for children accessing online learning. I am currently home schooling two girls (Y3 and Y4) part time.
