I have been a primary school teacher for 8 years and have been teaching at my current school for 6 years. I have spent most of my career in Year 6 and I am currently teaching in Year 2, so I have extensive experience of preparing children for both Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 1 SATs. I also offer preparation for 11+ and School Entrance Exams.

Mr Tim F

Specialising in upper Key Stage 2, I have taught in years 5 and 6 in the Horncastle and Sleaford area for 22 years. I have prepared hundreds of children to achieve their potential in 11+ and SATs. Many of my children have gained entry to QEGS (Horncastle) and have gone on to do extremely well. I have a thorough understanding of SATs and 11+ and what is required in order to accomplish expected standards. From extremely academic children who require an extra challenge, to those who need assistance to catch up. As deputy head, I had an overview of the whole school and so understand where children have come from and where they need to be. Children sometimes need extra support if some of their educational foundations are missing and so identifying these gaps allows me to tailor a programme to your child's unique needs. May I wish you the best of luck in your search for a tutor for your child. I understand what an important decision you have to make and offer you my proven ability and experience as a solution.

I also have experience in EYFS and year 1, as a teacher and private tutor. As a teacher I pride myself on the relationships I foster with my pupils, I like to make learning fun and engaging whilst maintaining academic rigour. I am currently working at a primary school in Grimsby providing catch up support for pupils across the curriculum alongside a role as enrichment lead. I will be starting a maternity cover role in year 5 in March.
