I have taught Chemistry in seven senior schools. In 1987, I was appointed Head of Chemistry at Carshalton High School in Sutton in Surrey. Whilst studying for my MA in Education at the Open University, I was appointed to be Head of Science at Walsingham School in London. I moved to the independent sector and I taught science at Homefield Preparatory School for 10 years. I joined the science staff at St. John’s School in Leatherhead. In 2006, I was appointed Head of Chemistry at Reed’s School in Cobham, Surrey. When I stepped down from the position in 2017, the department had doubled in size. I continued to teach Chemistry at Reed’s part-time until August 2020. I taught A level AQA and Edexcel IGCSE Chemistry. In the last academic year I have been tutoring online recently tutoring AQA/Edexcel/OCR A at A -Level and AQA and Edexcel at GCCS and IGCSE. I have been appointed as an examiner of Cambridge International A-Level and Edexcel A-Level.
