Ms Esther R

I currently work for an independent school in Nottingham but am on maternity leave so can be flexible about times and could tutor weekends, weekdays, daytime and evening. Since qualifying as an RS teacher I have taught in two schools, tutored privately in A level Philosophy and marked for OCR exam board at A level and AQA at GCSE. Marking for exam boards has given me a clear insight into how to help students achieve high grades. In my previous school I was the sole A level teacher and taught all three RS papers (Development in Christian thought, Philosophy and Ethics) as well as running revision sessions and planning A level trips to RS conferences. Currently, I specialise in teaching Philosophy, run revision sessions and have delivered whole school training about techniques to improve grades. I have extensive experience of working with various SEN needs and have used my own time to attend dyslexia training courses meaning I am better able to support dyslexic students in achieving their potential.

Mr Charles R

Firstly, I am 7 years into my teaching career - currently working as Head of History and a member of senior leadership, working with other departments to help improve results. In the 3 years in my current role as Head of History my department has gone from a pass rate of 38% to 87% with my own personal classes consistently gaining 70%+ in regards to their targets and 5-9. Furthermore, I am an exam marker for Edexcel and A Level, which I mark every year, meaning I am fully up to date with exam board expectations. In regards to subject knowledge, I am a diverse historian who knows the exam specification for Edexcel, AQA and OCR. Furthermore, I have set up my own YouTube channel with my lessons, which your child will have full access too alongside a clear programme of revision, exam technique and mocks which I will mark in the eyes of an examiner.
