Hello. I'm Andy. Thanks for viewing my profile. I have 6 years' experience as a full time, secondary Maths teacher. During this time, I have mentored new teachers and delivered teacher training session to both the department and the whole school. I have also stood in for the Head of Maths at a national teachers conference in London on several occasions. I have a history of developing high quality resources which I've shared on the TES website. Some of these have been endorsed by nationally renowned Maths teachers. I also have a strong online presence through my maths YouTube channel. Many of my students have found this invaluable when it came to revision. Most recently, I have been a second in department and held responsibility for the progress of over 300 pupils. I developed a highly personalised test analysis grid after each test. This told them exactly what they were good at and what they needed to improve on.

I am a very well-qualified specialist German teacher with over 30 years' teaching experience in schools and colleges of further education . I am currently specialising in teaching GCSE German online - with a great deal of success as several of my previous students have achieved top grades in their GCSE exams. I have also helped students who are struggling with German to improve their predicted grades by at least two bands. I prepare students for AQA, Edexcel and IGCSE exams and also work part-time as an IGCSE German tutor with a well-known home-schooling organisation.
I am an experienced KS1 and KS2 teacher and have been teaching continuously since gaining my P.G.C.E in 1999. I worked at Bodriggy Academy in Hayle for 18 years. I taught a Year 3 class full-time for the first 8 years then, after having children of my own, I went back part-time (0.4) and for the last 10 years I have taught reception children through to Year 6. I have job-shared in EYFS, taught a mixed Year 1/2 class, as well as a mixed Year 5/6 class. I have also carried out Senior management PPA cover in EYFS, Years 1/2, and Years 5/6. In Sept 2019 I made the transition from permanent employment to supply. This has given me the opportunity to teach in a wide range of schools and learn from the many varied ways teaching is delivered in different settings. I have spent a lot of this time teaching at Marazion school.
