Originally from Bristol, UK, I started my working life in banking, employed in a high street bank for over nine years. However, I decided to retrain as a teacher, graduating from Exeter University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education (Honours) with QTS. My first teaching post was in a lovely school in the heart of the Cotswolds, UK. An opportunity then presented itself for me to teach in an International School in Moscow, Russia, and so began my international teaching career, which spanned twenty years. I have had the chance to work in a variety of settings, and with various curricula, including the British National Curriculum, Cambridge and the International Baccalaureate. I have experience working with children across a range of ages, from 18 months to 17 years old. Student-centred and highly driven I work to find innovative ways to motivate and engage students in their learning.
