Hi I am Cara Montiel. I have been teaching for 5 years with experience in private and state education. I have a BSc Hons in Biomedical science. My specialism is within Biology. However, I teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics up to KS4 level within the AQA specification. I trained as a teacher at the Institute of Education at University College London. I found growing up that the subjects I enjoyed the most were not necessarily to subjects I was most interested in. Rather they were the lessons conducted by teachers who whole-heartedly enjoyed their work and let that shine in their lessons. This is something I take into consideration every day as an educator. Since qualifying I have been a primary school teacher for eight years working in a Greater London multi cultural two form entry Christian school, a small Gloucestershire one form entry Catholic school with a high number of disadvantaged and special educational needs and most recently a city centre two form entry Catholic Primary School in Gloucester.
