I am a qualified, professional teacher with twenty years of experience. My practice has focused on developing the communicative competence of the young people under my care. For over a decade, I was a successful MFL practitioner, but in more recent years, I have transitioned to developing tailored literacy and English support to students with widely varying SEN and EAL needs. Mr Paul B

I am compassionate and provide motivation as well as a good learning atmosphere. Children don’t learn unless they are enjoying their learning. From the outset, I always address concerns of students and parents in order to ensure long-term successful cooperation. I have been teaching for over 20 years and tutoring for over 12 years. I have specific training for children with SEN, from my time as Sendco at a school, and from many years of setting up appropriate intervention groups with children from Reception to Year 6, in both maths and English. I always ensure that each child has targeted support and that I am always adapting to the child’s needs, especially as all children learn differently. Some visually, some Kinetically, some though auditory. This ensures that the lessons cover exactly what is required, whilst the enjoyment aspect is always maintained.
