Mr Lee M

I am currently working in the Gateshead area as a Head of Year and Teacher of English and I am approaching my tenth year in secondary education. I have a wide range of experiences, working alongside pupils with Special Educational Needs. In particular, I have a thorough understanding of AQA GCSE and A Level English Language and English Literature specifications - working as an examiner for GCSE English Language in particular. I pride myself on the resources I create and the relationships that I establish with students. I have already dedicated time to tutoring, working closely after school with students who are struggling with their confidence in the subject. I have achieved outstanding results throughout my career and would be fully dedicated to the tutoring programme. Alongside teaching English, I also have thorough experience in teaching Film and Media Studies.

Miss Ellie C

I have enjoyed over 12 years teaching and tutoring children from Year 1 to Year 5 with a wide variety of children of every ability and background, including specific needs such as autism, speech and learning difficulties (as well as those who are ahead and need extra challenge). I have always worked hard to help children build their self-confidence, as I think self believe is one of the most important keys to success. I can help you fill gaps, keep on track or get ahead. I know that some children find it a lot easier to focus 1:1 than in a whole class setting (and may have different needs to their peers) so extra support during term time can be very valuable and beneficial. I tailor my teaching to individual needs and personalities as I know we all learn differently.

SUBJECTS TAUGHT:
Primary, SEN, SATs
Qualifications:
PGCE Primary, Northumbria University. BSc (Hons) Zoology, Durham University. 'A' grades at A-level in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Music.
