After many years as a teacher, headteacher and tuition centre owner, I have been tutoring online since 2015. Having taught all levels and abilities across the UK (and internationally), I can help unlock your child's full potential by providing the one-to-one support they need to be successful. I use a wide variety of paper and interactive resources to tutor primary English and maths up to GCSE. I also help adults gain work qualifications, including Functional Skills Maths Levels 1 & 2. I've prepared KS2 students for 11+ exams at both of Salisbury's grammar schools (GL and CEM) with great success. I offer bespoke, quality tuition that helps students to catch up, keep up and move up. With a tailor-made approach, I have seen my students make quick progress and achieve good test/exam scores. I’m a patient, adaptable and professional teacher who is keen to help your child reach their goals. I will provide them with the personalised attention they deserve.  I offer a FREE ASSESSMENT by appointment.

Lu X

GA Level 5 Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL)

Member since 2020 Miss Lu X

I speak English and Mandarin fluently, and have a strong creative background, enjoying painting and swimming in my spare time. I was employed by Portsmouth High School for four years as their International Pupil Officer, as well as teaching Fine Art to years 7 and 8 and Mandarin to years 6 and 7. In my teaching role, I also assisted GCSE and A-level students with their speaking, listening, reading and writing in Mandarin. Since leaving Portsmouth High School, I have been studying level 5 TEFL, which is now completed. Modules for this included classroom teaching, one to one tuition, and business English. Alongside this, I have been privately tutoring (both remotely and in person) a varied selection of students in Mandarin and Fine Art. I like to involve creativity when teaching Mandarin, I think it is very important to combine cultural background as it helps my students learn better.
