I have been involved in Education for the last 19 years. During this time, I have had the privilege of working with individuals from the age of 3 to 30, with a range of needs. Initially I worked in Primary schools, from Reception to KS2. I then went on to gain my specialist qualifications. A PGCE in Dyslexia and Literacy, and an Assessment Practising Certificate, I then began working for myself. I currently work in school settings and privately. This involves assessing pupils and if necessary diagnosing them with Specific Learning Difficulties, such as Dyslexia. I also work with pupils, both in Primary and Secondary school. Some children I work with just need an ‘extra boost’, or specific subject support. I also give support for exam preparation, study skills, organisational strategies etc. Alongside this I work with children with complex needs such as, dyslexia and dyscalculia, ranging from 4 to 18 year olds. I also support class teachers and provide SpLD training for schools.
