I am a qualified teacher, with a degree in maths, who has taught in schools for over 25 years before deciding to be a maths tutor. I have been head of maths, and taught in SEN. I have taught from KS1 through to GCSE, and am successful in raising grades by two levels mainly. I am passionate at students being able to obtain the qualification, at the level they desire, so they can progress and fulfil their potential in their next step in education. I like to use concrete models and diagrams to create visual models, which can then be used to structure workings out. Then I like to build confidence with practicing questions before looking at exam questions. It is lovely to see interest and enjoyment grow as understanding and confidence increases. This is what inspires me in my teaching.
