I qualified in 1984 with my PGCE from Cambridge University and since then I have taught in a variety of schools in both the private and state sector in London & the South East where I taught at The Judd School in Tonbridge teaching English GCSE and Latin A level. My most recent school post was teaching GCSE English AQA Board in Sussex. I have been tutoring for the last 20 years for the Kent 11 Plus examination including my own children, who all gained places at Kent Grammar schools, and also tutoring English Literature & Language at GCSE and A Level. I have recently moved from Kent to Cornwall but I am still in touch with my students and it is wonderful to see them progressing in their lives. I can supply email addresses of my clients in Sussex / Kent whose children I taught English Literature and Language to on a one to one basis. My own children have dyslexia and ADHD and I have helped them in their studies to secure places at Manchester and Bristol University.

As a GCSE (9 -1) Mathematics Examiner I have a deeper understanding of specification & assessment. My specialist knowledge, training background and teaching experience have well prepared me working with wide range of learners from KS1/2 to KS3/4 and KS5. I am a passionate teacher of Chemistry with over 30 years of experience in both state and top independent schools. For over 25 years I have been an inspiring Head of Department, as well as being one of the first teachers awarded Advanced Skills Teacher status. I have delivered Chemistry courses covering the specifications of all the three main examination boards, including at IGCSE, being an examiner for two of them.
