Member since 2021 Mr Jack T

My name is Jack. I am currently a Year 5 teacher, working full time in a school in Somerset. Additionally, I am the maths lead, a role which I am thoroughly enjoying due to my passion and enjoyment of maths. I have experience teaching from year 1 all the way up to year 6. I am hugely passionate about core subjects, but also have a love of PE. However, the best thing about being a teacher is helping children to develop not only their academic skills but also life skills. Encouraging children to express themselves, laugh, smile and enjoy learning are all key things that I aim to instil in those I teach on a daily basis. I have experience tutoring children aged between 8-10 and loved being able to shape learning to meet the specific needs of those particular children.

Subjects: Primary, SEN, SATs

Helen M

BA (Hons) Science and Education with QTS, University of Surrey (2002).

Member since 2018 Mrs Helen M

I am a qualified and very experienced Primary Teacher and have taught across a range of ages and schools for 20 years. I currently teach part time in a primary school, covering the full range of primary subjects. I have had a lot of experience of supporting a wide variety of needs in children, including reluctant learners, children working below their expected levels, those with ADHD and/ or autism and those with emotional needs. Learning is supposed to be fun and exciting, where children feel comfortable to take risks on their learning, becoming more resilient in their approach to giving their work at go. My aim is to enable children to feel positive about themselves and their learning.

Subjects: Primary, SEN, SATs
