Miss Megan R

I am a qualified teacher with over 5 years of experience in a primary school environment (through teacher training placements and teaching at my current school). I qualified from Sunderland University in 2018 with a first-class honours degree. I currently work at Breckon Hill Primary School in Middlesbrough where I have taught in Y2 for the past 3 years. Within those 3 years I have taught a range of abilities. Previously, I taught a SEN class who were working below national expected standard therefore I have lots of experience adapting lessons and activities for children who need it. I am currently teaching a mainstream Y2 class. At university I specialised in maths and currently I shadow the English lead in my school therefore I have a good understanding in those core subjects. I pride myself in forming great relationships with children and also making learning as enjoyable as possible. I can prepare children for their KS1 SATS, end of year assessments and their phonics screening tests.

BEd (Hons) Primary Education with Mathematics, University of Sunderland (2018).

Miss Kirstie H

Hello, I am an experienced teacher and have taught across KS2 for 7 years. I have recently returned to teaching part-time, after the birth of my adorable son in November 2019 and I am looking to build my tutoring portfolio. I have a wealth of experience in teaching all primary subjects, with particular strengths in English, Maths and Science. Having taught in every year group in KS2, I have a thorough understanding of the National Curriculum and what the children should know at each stage. This allows me to deliver effective tuition lessons and prepare the children for their next year group. During my time spent in year 6, 75% of my class made accelerated progress in their SATS, through my outstanding planning, delivering and assessment. I also have a lot of expertise in teaching children with SEN so I can help to remove barriers to learning.
