I am an Advance HE National Teaching Fellow and have worked in education for over twenty years, teaching every age group from reception through to postgraduate level. I have run a sixth form, led a Psychology department, acted as an examiner for AQA Psychology and been nominated for a Pearson teaching award. In 2018, I was awarded a University Teaching Award for Outstanding and Innovative Undergraduate Teaching and in both 2017 and 2019 won Digital Practice Awards to develop digital learning with my Foundation Year students. In 2017, I am also the co-founder of the Active Learning Network (activelearningnetwork.com) designed to forge collaborative links with educators across the country and I co-host the Active Learning Conferences at Sussex. I hold positions on the SAGE Pedagogy in Higher Education Board, the SEDA Papers Committee and most recently, have been selected as a global subject centre convenor for Psychology with the OneHE network.
