Miss Harriet W

I am passionate about making the world a fairer and more equal place. Everyone, no matter their starting point, deserves the right to have a quality education. I am highly motivated and enthusiastic. Through education, creativity and positivity I inspire and encourage those who I work with. I strive to improve the well-being of others. In my most recent teaching role, I have taught KS3, GCSE and A level geography to a range of different ability students. I was required to have a knowledge of students and provide appropriate differentiated learning materials, embedding retrieval quizzes into lessons. I created schemes of work for KS3 and supported with GCSE lesson creation content and resources. I also have experience tutoring online and in person, building student confidence and achieving great results. By utilising a holistic approach I support and lead to ensure the world is a better place for all.

She has always said that she enjoyed her sessions with you and found them extremely useful. You have really helped to restore her confidence as she recovered from Long Covid and she felt that her exam on Tuesday went well. Mr Malcolm E

I am a qualified teacher, with a degree in maths, who has taught in schools for over 25 years before deciding to be a maths tutor. I have been head of maths and taught in SEN. I have taught from KS1 through to GCSE, and am very successful in raising grades by two levels mainly. I am passionate at students being able to obtain the qualification, at the level they desire, so they can progress and fulfil their potential in their next step in education. I like to use concrete models and diagrams to create visual models, which can then be used to structure workings out. Then I like to build confidence with practising questions before looking at exam questions. It is lovely to see interest and enjoyment grow as understanding and confidence increases. This is what inspires me in my teaching.
