I graduated from King’s College, Cambridge in 2017 with a First Class degree in Classics. I then started working at KCS Wimbledon as a Teacher of Classics, teaching both Latin and Greek to students aged 11-18. I also taught IB Theory of Knowledge to Sixth Form students, and was heavily involved in co-curricular activities where KCS students taught Latin to Year 6 students from a local primary school. I gained my teaching qualification in July 2019, being judged by eQualitas as Outstanding. I am currently studying the LPC in order to become a solicitor, having received my law degree in June 2020, but I still very much enjoy Classics and have several students whom I tutor on a weekly basis.

Member since 2020 Mr Michael P

I am a science teacher with a specialism in physics but teach all sciences from Year 7 to 11. I teach physics up to A-level and sometimes teach maths up to GCSE. I have tutored for over 5 years, including 2 years as a full time tutor. I have also taught in secondary for over 4 years. I generally teach with a traditional style, emphasising the progression from basics through to mastery. However, I do build in opportunities to explore the topics using discussion as tutoring presents a unique opportunity to gently develop students' understanding in such a personalised way. My students enjoy my lessons. They are stretched beyond what they otherwise would be in school as they have individualised support and know they can push themselves and will be guided well even if they make mistakes. I have helped many students reach their aims, including students desperate to get a pass and students who want to secure top grades.
