I am a qualified primary school teacher, with 15 years of experience. I have taught across both Key Stage One and Key Stage Two. I have up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum and the assessment requirements. I have worked with children of all abilities and enjoy the challenge that teaching brings. My most recent teaching experience was in a mixed year 5/6 class. I am currently working as an intervention teacher as part of the Covid catch-up scheme. I carefully plan sessions for individuals and groups and wherever possible these sessions are practical and hands-on. This is such a rewarding role and seeing children move forward in their learning and grow in confidence is priceless. I have recently achieved a level 2 CACHE certificate in understanding autism, as well as a certificate related to promoting positive mental health in children and young people. A good work/life balance is really important to me. I am a mum to two beautiful children. In my spare time, I enjoy walking our Springer Spaniel.
