I am Early years trained, specialising in the teaching of 3-7 year olds having taught from Nursery age up to year 2. I am also Mum to two little girls, age 7 and 5 so professionally and personally I have the experience, patience and natural ability to engage and communicate with young children. My teaching style is relaxed, kind, caring and fun; building trust and confidence in every child to believe in their own abilities. Qualified Primary Education Class Teacher. I have a BA (Hons) in Primary Education with a Specialism in English and am currently working towards a Masters (MA) in Education. I have Experience planning and teaching in mainstream as well as special schools. I also have tutoring experience- in person and online. I can speak multiples and am currently learning British Sign Language. I have also been trained and use Makaton. I have trained as a class teacher in EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in a range of settings from requires improvement to outstanding schools and schools in inner-city Bristol as well as more rural areas. Hello, I’m Ali, I have been an RE teacher for 12 years. I’m currently a Head of Department in a large secondary school and 6th form. Over the years I have taught and marked exam papers for a selection of exam boards this has given me an excellent understanding of the requirements for both A level and GCSE. Alongside my full time teaching role I currently work as a lead examiner and assessment writer for an a level and AS paper. My subject specialisms are Christianity and Buddhism although I have taught Islam at GCSE and have good knowledge of all the religions covered in GCSE specifications. I have lots of experience helping students to achieve their target grades and beyond! I am very passionate about philosophy and ethics and am keen to work with students to improve understanding, essay structure and overall their grades.
