Mrs Katy R

I have almost 15 years experience as a teacher in Key Stage 2. I have spent the last 3 years at a Primary School in Banbury, tutoring children on a 1:1 basis in maths and literacy. During this time, I worked hard to boost children's self esteem and confidence, which in turn helped them to make accelerated progress. As a practitioner, I believe strongly in positive praise and building steps of progress to help children enjoy their learning and gain a sense of achievement.

Times are challenging for us all, but rest assured I am here to help, support and offer guidance where possible. Once again, we have just been hit with the news that children will be learning remotely from home over the upcoming weeks. I want to take this opportunity to offer my expertise in Primary Education and The National Curriculum for children across EYFS and KS1 – this can be done via zoom or another platform that parents feel comfortable with. I have a PGCE in Primary Education and Early Years with QTS and experience in and around EYFS and KS1 in different school settings. I can help with homework tasks your child/children have been set, or any Maths/English areas they are finding challenging. I understand children learn in different ways, so it is my mission to find the best way that works for the individual and make the learning experience as fun and energetic as possible. I am a very patient person who has a calm and nurturing personality and finds it easy to build rapport with children and adults.

Miss Natasha W

I am a qualified History teacher who has been tutoring privately for a period of 6 years. I teach a broad range of subjects including English, Maths, History, Religious Studies and Sociology. All students are welcome for my help. Young or old, people with special educational needs or English as a second language, people who are struggling or those who need help achieving that A/grade 8 or 9 that they might be dreaming of! Any questions do not hesitate to ask. My specialism, in terms of History is in Social History as the study of people and society fascinates me. In my spare time, I like to visit new cities and learn different cultures, take my dog for walks and go out to the theatre (which of course includes eating out). I am also an avid Arsenal fan (I know but someone has to support them)!
